Educating the Eye (I)

Essays by High School Students Inspired by Dante

ebook
1 of 1 copy available

This collection of writing by high school students from Gilman School/Bryn Mawr School/Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, Maryland, signals to anyone, of any age, that Dante's Comedy can teach us to see everything much more clearly if we read within the spirit of "serious joy" (John Ciardi, author of Ciardi Himself).

The goal of this anthology project is crystal clear: To fill this gap in Dante studies with the strong and authentic voices of young scholars who have engaged with Dante courageously. To borrow (and modify) a lyric from Tom Chapin, this collection will help "to pass the [Dante] music on..."

Proceeds from the sale of this book will be divided equally between The Dante Society of America and The Harry Chapin Foundation.
