Forging Ahead • David Caon’s career has taken him to the other side of the globe and back. The Sydney-based industrial designer grew up in Adelaide, then relocated to Paris to work with fellow Australian Marc Newson. In the years since, his small yet skilled team has come to count names such as Australian flag carrier Qantas and chef Neil Perry among its loyal clients.

Brass Tacks • Working exclusively with brass sheet, Indian designer Vikram Goyal explores and celebrates the country’s metalwork traditions, refining age-old techniques to create collectible design pieces.

All in Place • A Place Where is a former printing facility turned experimental retail incubator, community space and creative hotbed.
