In with the Old • The demand for vintage watches in recent times has reached new heights—and not just in the secondary market. In 2023, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced The Collectables, a programme that restores its creations from the 1920s to the 1970s. Two years before that, Cartier began the Cartier Vintage Collection; sourcing pieces from the 1970s to the 2010s, the collection focuses on offering some of the brand’s unique creations. And in 2017, Vacheron Constantin created Les Colletionneurs, a collection of its timepieces from the 1920s to the end of the 1990s, which are sourced, authenticated and restored by the maison.
