PHIL’S DREAM COMES TRUE • Phill Tassell, the eighth generation of beef and sheep farmers from Headcorn, Kent, (who also runs a successful fencing and construction company) has just completed a full restoration on his 1976 Massey Ferguson 1200, which he purchased three years ago from Somerset. Phil has recorded its restoration and we will be bringing you all of the details in this three-part story.

RAY BOWER’S LOVE OF THE RED AND GREY • Every Massey Ferguson enthusiast appreciates a stable of red and grey tractors, and Ray Bower is no exception. Bob Weir went to Staffordshire to see his fine collection.

THE TRACTOR PLANT – ITS RISE AND FALL. • During the Second World War, British farmers were given subsidies and support to feed the nation; to achieve this, extensive use of tractors and mechanised farming methods were adopted, says Bob Moorman.
