SMALL PROJECTS, BIG IDEAS • LINTEL Studio for Architecture founder Emiliano Miranda wants to advance our cities – and the architecture industry – one single dwelling at a time.

At home with Ben Ellul • The director of Melbourne’s Ellul Architecture shows inside around his 58-square-metre Toorak apartment, which was designed and built in 1951 by John W. Rivett.

Jimmy Thompson • The Creative Director of architectural practice MJA studio takes inside on a tour of his AIA WA Chapter Award home in North Perth.

DESIGNING THE NARRATIVE • Established in 2005 by founder and principal architect Kelvin Ho, Akin Atelier was born out of a desire to bring together like-minded people in a spirit of connectedness to shape meaningful experiences.

NATURE IN FOCUS • Backed by its ‘better, together’ ethos, Suncorp’s new headquarters in Brisbane, Australia, puts people at its heart and galvanises its workforce with an experience-rich workplace.

AUSTRALIAN DESIGN REVIEW’S 30UNDER30 CEMENTS ITSELF AS ONE FOR THE MEMORY BOOK • “If I was to rate this weekend out of 10, I’d give it 100,” Shona McElroy turns to me on the Sunday afternoon of Australian Design Review’s inaugural 30UNDER30 Creative Retreat. At this point, we have both kicked off our shoes and had our feet dangling in the pool. “It was above and beyond. It exceeded all my expectations,” McElroy smiles, as if catching her memories from a weekend she was still living.

SUNNY SIDE UP • The endless summer at the Bondi Pavilion is made even more endless by the recent addition of the Cox Architecture-designed café Glory Days, an ode to the faraway colour and wonder of European summers. Bare feet and damp swimmers are essential, and get ready to feel as if you’re in a Slim Aarons photograph.

A TITAN OF TEXTURES • Located west of Melbourne in Werribee South, on a predominantly flat terrain, Casa di Campo celebrates the connections between rural living and agricultural farming.

5 MINUTES WITH JORDAN FLEMING • Melbourne-based designer and artist
