Go West • The artist used ‘Golden’ liquid acrylics to add highlights and shadows to the faces and clothes in this painting. This was a part of the process which he greatly enjoyed.

Artists’ Paints • One of the most fundamental elements of creativity for many artists is paint. The range of options is enormous. There are numerous manufacturers offering quality products to suit almost every conceivable painting style. Here are some outstanding products from a few of your favourite art materials suppliers.

Master Pastellist • With no desire to produce a photographic record of his subject matter, this talented man likes to contemporise the landscape beyond a realist approach … and still retain a conceptual delusion of reality.

Yeppoon Ebb • Within days of it being finished, this painting gained a Commended award in the ‘Pastel of the Year’ at the Pastel Society of Australia end of year competition.

Altered Vision • Ever since this artist began painting, he has looked at things differently. When he looks over a hill and sees an expanse of coloured flats in the distance, he thinks about how they would look in a painting … and how he would paint them.

Rural Peace • Good quality art materials combined with plenty of imagination and even some judicious use of the palette knife resulted in this large and ambitious painting.
