SPAGHETTI VONGOLE PASTA E VONGOLE • Vongole is the Italian word for mussels. This traditional seafood recipe, which originated in Naples and first mentioned in 1839, requires only five ingredients to bring the rich and aromatic taste of the Mediterranean sea to your table!

CHIACCHIERE DI CARNEVALE • 19th of February 2023 marks Carnevale in Italy. Up and down the Country, all regions will celebrate this colorful tradition with music, dance, and the most, at times, outrageously themed carts. The origins of the carnival are historical, as old as Paganism. Although it is mainly linked to Christianity and the beginning of lent, symbolizing the last Martedi grasso - Fat Tuesday - before fasting - carne = meat; vale = to remove -, it is believed that carnival originates during the classical Greek period. During the festivities, everyone was allowed to become whatever they wanted, have fun, and wear masks, representing a way of leveling the social disparity between the rich and the poor. The proverb linked would be semel in anno licet insanire, "Once a year is legit to go crazy".

BAKED SPICY CHICKEN WINGS WITH SWEET POTATOES • This recipe has recently become one of my favorites because of its delicious flavor, but also because it is one of those emergency recipes when I don't have much time to cook and I want to eat something different and healthy. In addition, it admits as many variations as you can think, either because you don't have some of the ingredients at home or because you like others better. For example, you can replace the sweet potato with potato. You can also change the wings for chicken breasts or legs....
