Hakea Heart • This original cross stitch is worked on gorgeous linen and stitched with embroidery threads from the Bookshelf range by Cottage Garden Threads. The cross stitch design features Australian hakea blossoms and zebra finches, and a variety of embroidery stitches to make it truly unique.

Visible Mending • It's sustainable, saves resources, is easy to do and gives you a chance to get creative.

TOPSY CURVY • These are fun and free blocks to create. No templates needed, just freehand cut curves in 10in squares of fabric.

BITS and BOBS BAG • As the name suggests, this bag is perfect for a number of functions. With its sweet English paper piecing daisy blocks, simple embroidery and an assortment of squares both the back and the front are adorable.

noel DOWN UNDER • This quilt uses no Christmas fabric; the Christmas feel with the Aussie flavour is achieved by the use of colour. You can use any colours you like, just reach into your stash.

SOMERVILLE CIRCLE • Do you find it hard to resist charm packs of new fabric ranges? When new fabric collections come out, they are a perfect way to collect a set of coordinating prints. This quilt uses just two charm packs and some background fabric — perfect for a throw-sized finish.

SPRING FAIR ISLE SWEATER • This gorgeous sweater is just the thing to chase away any lingering winter chills.

Shelf Life • It's traditional to protect precious objects by placing them under glass, but Vikki takes the concept one step further for some treasured Christmas icons. Her mantlepieced cloches, domes and bell jars are of the fabric and thread variety.

AUSTRALIAN FLORA FOR CHRISTMAS • Stitch this luscious Christmas cushion in counted cross stitch using Appleton's crewel wool and DMC Perle and Etoile threads on natural linen.
