hello from me:

Australian Homespun

PIN INTEREST • Bright ideas, fabulous products, clever tips & quick reads

Selvedge DESIGNER EDGE

Christmas Wishlist • These exciting sewing machines would be great wrapped up under the tree!

SEA COOKIES QUILT • A simple layout using a variety of blue and pink prints is reminiscent of sea glass on the beach.

LIBERTY YOYO FESTIVE TREE

circle of hearts CUSHION • Let your love of Liberty radiate with this stunning circular cushion design. Jewel-shape papers are used to create a radiating circle pattern of colourful Liberty hearts. Completed with an embellished gusset, this gorgeous cushion is adored from all angles.

TIED & BOWED • Dive into your stash of dark and sultry country colours to make this glorious traditional quilt.

Sunshine & LOLLIPOPS • This quilt is designed and stitched by Anni Downs of Hatched and Patched and features the Jubilee range of fabrics by Tilda Fabrics.

JUBILEE CELEBRATION • 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Tilda, and to celebrate the anniversary and the launch of the Jubilee collection, Tone Finnanger, the designer of Tilda Fabrics, will be visiting Australia for an exclusive tour! There were limited tickets and the events are sold out.

Getting to know Anni …

SEWING MACHINE DUST COVER • Keep your sewing machine free of dust — and looking pretty — when not in use.

REVERSIBLE HAT

ARTEMIS • Black and white, dots and stripes, and Flying Geese and circles make this a charming quilt for a youngster.

Book REVIEWS • Our selection of new-release books to inspire and guide you on your stitching journey.

YARN Worthy

Sweet SUNDAE BABY BLANKET • This delicious pattern is inspired by the classic Neapolitan ice cream. The colours are placed in order as Bark (chocolate), Snow (vanilla) and Blush (strawberry).

SLICES OF CITRUS • Add a little zest to your dining furniture with these citrus seat pads. Pick your favourite fruits (in this case orange, lemon, lime and grapefruit) and preserve them for posterity (posterior-ity!) in fabric.

NATIVE TRIO • These embroideries are stitched with a half cross stitch on 12ct hessian.

MODERN FARMHOUSE • There is something comforting and calming about the neutral palette of farmhouse decor. This farmhouse-inspired quilt uses neutral tones of grey, greige and brown against a cream background. The quilt is made of two blocks that are alternated, creating a chain effect. No sashing required! Hang this quilt on your wall, lay it over a couch or roll it up in a basket; it’s sure to add a cosy feel to your farmhouse ambience. Don’t be fooled by the neutral palette — the fabrics in this design could easily be switched out for Christmas, Halloween or your favourite theme. The large star blocks are perfect to showcase your favourite fabrics!

Owl & Hare HOLLOW PART 6 • Here we are: the last part of this adorable Block of the Month! Just a few more blocks to embroider, then you can assembly the quilt top and add the borders. Either hand quilting or machine quilting will complete...
