Carlos Rosario Costume Designer for FX’s SHOGUN/『 SHOGUN 将軍』衣装デザイナー カルロス・ロサリオ • Carlos Rosario is a French-born Spanish designer who made a name for himself in the Parisian fashion world before moving to Los Angeles to work on costume design. He worked under American costume designer Colleen Atwood on films like Sleepy Hollow, Chicago and Planet of the Apes, before advancing to assistant costume designer on Walk the Line, Tron: Legacy, and other movies. He soon took the lead position on films like Beirut, Don’t Breathe and The Girl in the Spider’s Web. Tokyo Journal Editor-in-Chief Anthony Al-Jamie interviewed Rosario on his most recent work designing over 2,000 costumes for FX’s SHOGUN, which was nominated for 25 Emmy Awards, including "Outstanding Period Costumes For A Series”. Japan’s Bilingual Actor Takaaki Hirakawa on his Journey to SHOGUN/日本のバイリンガル俳優 平川貴彬が語る『将軍』への道 • Takaaki Hirakawa, originally from Fujisawa City in Kanagawa, Japan, arrived in the US in 2011 to study music at Musicians Institute Hollywood. Since graduating in 2013, he’s made strides as a musician and performer, appearing in acclaimed stage productions like "BLOOD" and "SHOUT." His career took a transformative turn with improv at The Second City Hollywood and co-founding the All-Asian sketch comedy group "NO SHOES ALLOWED." He went on to appear in a number of TV shows and films leading up to his role in the FX series SHOGUN.
