Andy Coward met up with the Spa Valley Railway’s commercial and finance manager, Jonnie Pay, to find out more about some of the realities facing event organisers during a cost of living crisis.

The twilight zone • The long reign of the Class 507 and Class 508 electric multiple units on Merseyrail is coming to an end as more of the new Stadler-built Class 777s enter service. Martyn Hilbert presents a pictorial tribute to the veteran EMU fleet, which is now the oldest electric train fleet to remain in daily passenger service.
