Marie Antoinette work table • This project was inspired by an interesting little furniture piece in the Victoria and Albert Museum. They note: “family tradition tells that this elegant, small, two-tiered work table was given to Mrs. William Eden (later Lady Auckland) in 1786 by Marie Antoinette. It holds writing materials and the lower part is a sewing box.” I’ve taken several liberties to simplify this beautiful design!

The spirit of All Hallows' Eve • Already much admired for her ghostly characters, two new creations could see Maya Schippl’s career take flight.

For the pot try a small perfume bottle top, a terracotta pot, pedestal dish, or even a woven basket. I’ve made one to sit on a side table and a taller one to sit on the floor in my dolls house.”
