DETLING HERITAGE IN ALL ITS GLORY • Last month we looked at the South East Bus Festival that was part of the 12th Heritage Transport Show on Saturday 6 April, held at the Kent County Agricultural Society’s superb showground at Detling just off the A249. This month we look at just a few of the other exhibits at this season opener.

HEAVY HAULAGE TO HIGH WEALD RALLY • On Wednesday 12 June, 1922 McLaren 8hp road locomotive No. 1713 will be leading the heavy haulage road train from Burgess Hill to Pippingford Park, Nutley TN22 3HW in West Sussex, where it will be one of over 30 engines attending the High Weald Steam Rally, says Dave Vaughan.

MODEL NEWS • Mike Neale takes his monthly look at recently released diecast models of tractors, trucks and Land Rovers in 1/32, 1/43, and 1/76 scale.
