In pursuit of snow • Photographing trains in snowy conditions can bring about some very pleasing results if done correctly, but there are a few things to bear in mind before you head off to the lineside with your camera when the first flecks of snow start to fall. Tom McAtee presents a selection of his winter images and explains some of the things to consider before venturing out.
Small, but perfectly formed • The Colne Valley Railway may seem an unlikely location for a preserved short-formed High Speed Train, but the operation of three Class 43 HST power cars and a trio of Mk.3 trailers has helped raise its profile since being launched last spring.
